Zoom Block Camera is different from the separated IP Camera+ zoom lens. The lens, sensor and circuit board of the zoom camera module are highly integrated and can only be used when they are paired with each other.

In the memory of some old security personnel, the zoom block camera is usually short focus and small in size. Long range zoom lens module such as 750mm and 1000mm are mostly used with C-mounted lens in combination with the IP Camera. In fact, since 2018, 750mm and above zoom module has been introduced and there is a trend to gradually replace the C-mounted zoom lens.

Core Technology

The development difficulty of the early zoom module lies in the 3A algorithm, that is, automatic focusing AF, automatic white balance AWB, and automatic exposure AE. Among 3A, AF is the most difficult, which has attracted numerous manufacturers to compromise. Therefore, even up to now, few security manufacturers can master AF.

Nowadays, AE and AWB are no longer the threshold, and many SOC supporting ISP can be found, but AF has a greater challenge, because the lens is becoming more and more complex, and multi group control has become the mainstream; In addition, the overall complexity of the system has been improved a lot. The early integrated zoom module is only responsible for imaging and zoom focusing, which is subordinate to the whole system; Now the zoom module is the core of the whole system. It controls many peripherals such as PTZ and laser illuminator, and colleagues also need to interface with various VMS platforms and network protocols. Therefore, the integrated development capability of the network system has become the core competitiveness of the enterprise.


As its name implies, the zoom block camera has the characteristics of high reliability, good stability, strong adaptability to the environment and easy integration because of its high integration.

High reliability: the zoom and focus of the all-in-one machine are controlled by a stepping motor, and its service life can reach 1 million times.

Compact: under the same focal length, it is smaller than C-mounted zoom lends + IP Camera Module, effectively reducing the load of PTZ, and the zoom focusing speed is faster.


Good image effect: special debugging will be conducted for each lens and sensor feature. It is naturally better than the effect saved with a IP Camera + zoom lens .


If the development of integrated movement is described in terms of human life, the current integrated movement is in its prime of life.

Technically, the optical technologies of different industries will gradually integrate. For example, the OIS technology, which has been widely used in consumer cameras, will also be used in the zoom camera module and become the standard configuration of the industry. In addition, technical problems such as ultra-high definition resolution and super large target surface under long focus still need to be solved.
